Has it really been that long?

I can't believe my last post was in June! Well, the last part of my pregnancy pretty much had me worn out... plus I had a few conventions to attend. Then the baby was born, and then two more conventions. XD

Anyway, yes, life has been busy. The good news is Red String is updating again and Erstwhile is now a webcomic and will be updating regularly. Check them out, spread the word!

And that's it for now! Hope to have more life and project updates soon.

Hee hee! Finally got a Star Trek piece finished. I've been wanting to do something with Spock for a while now, but I finally finally have something. I drew this with the thought of "You can't go home again."

Had a bit of fun drawing the Doctor and River Song. River is definitely growing on me since the start of the sixth season.

BABY STUFF: We want to thank all the wonderful readers who have helped us out so far on our Babies R Us registry (Registry #46796360)! Your generosity is so very appreciated! If you want to pitch in on the registry, please feel free. Anything from the list, no matter how big or small is very appreciated and our baby will be as thankful as we are for your support.

We had the latest checkup and the baby id developing well! As I move into month seven of pregnancy, boy, am I getting round! Ha! It’s getting a bit tough to sit at the art desk with the belly, but I am still managing to hang in there. We’ve decided not to reveal the baby name to the world wide web at this time (maybe someday), but we are happy to tell you we are having a girl according to the ultrasound.

Figured I'd just snag the image I posted up at RedStringComic.com

Wow, so as the Sketch Friday image announced, we are having a girl! Above are a couple of the ultrasound photos we received. We’re so very excited and are proud to share the news with you wonderful readers.

If you WANT to send something (you are obviously not required in any way), we are registered at Babies R Us under the Registry #46796360. We’re starting from scratch since this is our first child, so there are many different items on the list of all different price ranges. Small, cheap items are just as welcome as other items. Again, you are not required to send/buy anything.

SCORE: Emo Penguins AND ALSO Dog Pile

As the banner and links suggest, I have some shirt designs up at Threadless. Yeah, I added a second one since my last post. Dog Pile is a cute pile of puppy love! I am really hoping to have a design that makes the cut!

YOU CAN HELP me out by going over there and scoring the designs. If the shirt gets good feedback and high scores, it’s definitely possible it could become one of the next shirts to be sold at Threadless.

It would also mean they pay me in cash in prizes which will be super helpful with a baby on the way. So, if you have some extra time, consider going over there and helping out your friendly neighborhood webcomic artist.

So, things have been crazy around these parts since getting pregnant. I'm finally starting to have some good days along with the bad ones (nausea is letting up a little as well as the fatigue). Annnnnyway....

You can help me get my design printed by going to Threadless and scoring it. If my design is printed, Threadless will pay me $2,500 in cash and prizes for it! It would be a HUGE help with a baby on the way =D

New Year's Post - discrimination for love
exasperated, rant
strawberrygina
So, yeah, this will be a strange way to start off the new year, but I guess everyone has to start fresh, including those who are cleaning out their link pages. A link trade to Red String is being revoked for religious reasons because my story has lesbians.

I have to say that I am glad my beliefs don't force me to hate people. I'm sorry, but I'll never understand how you have to HATE/discriminate in order to be a "good person" for your religion. Yeah, that might come off as offensive, but Red String has always been about LOVE and that's just what I believe. Love is good no matter what. If two people love each other, if people can learn to LOVE instead of hate and discriminate against other people the world would be a happier place.

S.A.D. again?

I'm not certain, but pretty near certain that I'm starting to get hit with the Seasonal Affective Disorder again. Ever since it started getting gray and cold out, I just can't get motivated. I want to sleep all the time and am generally in a depressed state for no reason. At first I was figuring stress from the move and the depressing nature of the Red String storyline at the moment. However, my productivity went WAY up on my trip down to warm, sunny Florida for Thanksgiving despite the mood of the comic. I'm doing the things that are supposed to help, but it's just an effort to get things done. I have GOT to get through this and get work done.

Not really looking for advice. Just feels good to commit it to writing, ya know? Hoping to get some comic work done now... or I'll just go read a book instead. ^^;
